Following compassionate farming techniques, we use milk from our pet goats to craft handmade goat milk soap!

Shea founded Knotty Goat Soapery (formerly Gentle Meadow Goat Farm) in 2009. We have built our compassionate goat farm to include a small herd of dairy goats. We refer to our goats as our "herd of rescues and rejects." Those who were not born here were mostly either rescued or didn't fit in at their prior home. We keep our herd small so that we can give each goat individual care and attention.

Initially, the goats were a therapeutic tool for Shea, who lives with post-traumatic stress disorder. Shea enjoys the balance of artistry and chemistry that is involved in soap-making and has built our business from scratch with love. Please follow the links below to learn more about our story.
