Using compassionate farming techniques, we use milk from our pet goats to craft handmade goat milk soap! Our goat milk soaps include natural ingredients such as Shea butter, coconut oil, and olive oil. In some products, we often add essential oils for scent.
GOAT MILK is the #1 INGREDIENT in our goat milk soaps! We make our cold-process goat milk soaps from scratch. Because each bar is handmade, there will be slight variations from one bar to another, which makes each one unique!
These goat milk soaps are perfect for people with sensitive skin or allergies! In fact, these are the customers we keep in mind when we're developing new recipes. If you have any questions about our products, please contact us.
Shea founded Knotty Goat Soapery (formerly Gentle Meadow Goat Farm) in 2009. We have built our compassionate goat farm to include a small herd of dairy goats. We refer to our goats as our "herd of rescues and rejects." Those who were not born here were mostly either rescued or didn't fit in at their prior home. We keep our herd small so that we can give each goat individual care and attention.
Initially, the goats were a therapeutic tool for Shea, who lives with post-traumatic stress disorder. Shea enjoys the balance of artistry and chemistry that is involved in soap-making and has built our business from scratch with love. Please follow the links below to learn more about our story.
